The Galena Whiskey Weekend Grand Tasting will be held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 at Turner Hall in Galena, Illinois. As sample quantities are limited, especially on highly allocated items, we ask that you only taste one sample of each individual whiskey. No seconds please so that everyone gets a chance to taste all of the rare whiskeys at this event. If there is something you'd like to taste again, please check the table towards the end of the event.

The Galena Whiskey Weekend Grand Tasting will be held in historic Turner Hall at 115 S. Bench Street in downtown Galena, Illinois.

There is parking available on Bench Street and Main Street in downtown Galena, plus additional pay and display lots. We suggest you park on or around Main Street, as it is a short walk up to Turner Hall from there.

If after the Galena Whiskey Weekend Grand Tasting, you feel you are unable to get home or to your hotel safely, please call Galena's General Express at 815-275-5546. Please do not drive intoxicated! If you need assistance please locate event staff.

Yes. There will be complimentary drinking water and light hor's devours (cheese & crackers) during Galena Whiskey Weekend’s Grand Tasting. This year we will also have two food trucks at the event if anyone would like to purchase additional food. This year we are proud to have Pulidos Taco Truck and Birds. Chicken Truck food trucks on site. Water provided by Culligans.

Sorry, no children. All attendees must be 21-yrs or older. Everyone will need a valid ID to enter the Whiskey Tasting. Please have your ID and ticket ready upon arrival.

We love our animals, but no pets will be allowed at the Galena Whiskey Weekend Grand Tasting. Dogs, cats, birds and goldfish must be left at home…sorry. Service Animals will be allowed.

Our retail partner, Family Beer & Liquor, will stock all of the spirits tasted at the Grand Tasting, while supplies last! You may buy favorites at Family Beer & Liquor Saturday following the event (or anytime Sunday). Visit www.familybeer.com for full store information Highly allocated whiskeys are available for tasting only at the event and not available for sale, these items are noted on the tasting program accordingly.

We will have ample self service coat racks near the bathrooms.

There will be a comprehensive tasting booklet with numbered table assignments in Turner Hall, making it easy for you to make a beeline directly to your favorites. This can be found on the homepage of our website.

All of the whiskeys at the tasting are available for purchase with our retail partner, Family Beer & Liquor of East Dubuque, IL, with the exception of any items listed as "Tasting Only"in the program.
